Bhagwat Katha is a sacred and spiritually enriching narration based on the holy scripture Shrimad Bhagwat Purana, which describes the divine stories and teachings of Lord Krishna and the various incarnations of Lord Vishnu. It is one of the most respected religious discourses in Hindu tradition and is organized to spread devotion, wisdom, and spiritual awareness among devotees. Bhagwat Katha is usually conducted over seven days, known as the Bhagwat Saptah, during which a knowledgeable storyteller or spiritual speaker explains the divine pastimes of Lord Krishna and the deeper meanings of the scriptures.
Shrimad Bhagwat is the image of the God of God and that is why it is worshiped in reverence. By its recitation and hearing, both enjoyment and salvation are accessible. There are no greater means for the purification of the mind. How much and when to read- Because it is difficult to control the mind for a long time and keep it in the rules, therefore the method of listening to Bhagwat week is considered good. Katha week should be organized in the auspicious time of Bhadrapada, Ashwin, Kartik, Margashirsha, Ashadh, and Shravan month.
